The Offer

---$type: Offer$id: leaseclock.com/offers/proname: Leaseclock Proprice: { amount: 29, currency: USD, unit: month }limits: { Unit: 200 }personas: Property manager, Leasing coordinatorstatus: Live---

The Offer file holds everything Stripe needs. Stripe learns the Offer as a Product with a monthly Price, so you never create either by hand. limits holds each Customer to 200 Units, and personas names the Personas who buy and use it: the Property manager and the Leasing coordinator.

Pricing

Your /pricing page reads "Leaseclock Pro, $29 a month", rendered from amount, currency and unit. The page and the charge read the same three values, so they always agree.

Checkout

A Property manager picks Leaseclock Pro on your pricing page, pays through Stripe Checkout and becomes your Customer. Stripe then sends a signed event. The platform checks the signature and settles the Subscription once, however many times Stripe delivers that event.

Subscriptions

unit: month renews the Subscription every month, charged to the card on file. You write no billing schedule and no renewal job.

The billing portal

Your Customer changes their card or cancels in Stripe's billing portal, on their own. You build no account screen and answer no card-change email.

Your own Stripe account

The money lands in your own Stripe account, and Stripe pays it out to your bank. If you leave, the account, its Customers and their Subscriptions stay yours.

To change the price, edit amount in the Offer and commit. The next Checkout sells the new Price, and every Subscription keeps the Price it bought.
